In most of the other countries student is allowed to work 20 hours per week however in Singapore students can work maximum of 16 hours per week.
Post - study work rights in Singapore
Earlier there used to be Employment Pass Eligibility Certificate (EPEC) which used to allow students to stay in Singapore for up to one year to facilitate job search. The EPEC which was launched in 1992 was discontinued from 1st December 2011. Those who wish to search job by remaining in Singapore can apply for one year Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) given they are from the approved institutions as mentioned above.
